I have made a very difficult decision regarding how I approach personal relationships, professional relationships, and the work I have spent decades building.
This decision has caused me considerable distress because it is not simply about business, friendship, or ordinary professional experiences. It comes from patterns I have witnessed and experienced that have made me recognize how important it is for me to establish stronger boundaries around my life, my work, my family, and the people connected to my professional activities.
One of the deeper concerns I have carried is the destructive potential of jealousy and insecurity, particularly among women and within relationships where personal feelings become intertwined with other people’s lives and opportunities.
I have experienced situations that caused me serious concern about the consequences of these dynamics, including situations involving my child. As a parent, I cannot simply dismiss experiences that have caused me to question whether jealousy, insecurity, competition, or other personal motivations can sometimes contribute to harm.
My faith has also caused me to reflect deeply on this subject. When I think about the story of Jesus, Mary, and the people surrounding them, I am reminded of how powerful jealousy, fear, insecurity, and resentment can become when they are allowed to influence human behavior. I do not claim that every circumstance has the same explanation, but this spiritual reflection has helped me understand why I need to take these matters seriously.
This is therefore much deeper for me than simply deciding that I do not want friendships.
I am choosing to protect my work, my family, my future, and the legacy I am trying to build.
I recognize that I have also contributed to some unhealthy patterns by allowing insecurity, uncertainty, or the desire to maintain personal connections to influence my decisions. I take responsibility for learning from that.
I cannot continue repeating mistakes that could negatively affect my business or the people who depend on me.
For this reason, I am taking my professional role more seriously and choosing to take the lead. Anyone who works with me should have the opportunity to work within an environment based on professionalism, honesty, good faith, mutual respect, accountability, and a shared purpose.
I want the people who work with me to be protected from the same patterns that have caused me distress. Establishing appropriate boundaries is part of my responsibility as I continue developing my work.
From this point forward, I ask that my interactions and collaborations be understood primarily through a professional and work-related lens.
I will continue to treat people with kindness, courtesy, and respect. However, being respectful toward someone does not require me to give that person personal access to my life, my business, my ideas, or my work.
I also cannot participate in activities or relationships that do not serve a constructive purpose or that could compromise the integrity of what I am building.
My work represents decades of learning, sacrifice, creativity, experience, and persistence. I have a responsibility to protect that work—not only for myself, but for the future of the people and communities I hope my work can eventually serve.
My interests have always extended beyond simply making a living. I want to develop products and services, improve business operations, understand data and financial systems, analyze problems, and create solutions that can contribute to greater opportunity and poverty alleviation.
That purpose requires me to be cautious about who and what I allow into my professional environment.
I hope this decision will be understood for what it is: not an act of hostility, but an act of responsibility.
I am not asking everyone to agree with my decision. I am asking for it to be respected.
I have learned that protecting a legacy sometimes requires making difficult choices in the present.
I am choosing purpose over pressure, leadership over insecurity, boundaries over unnecessary relationships, and the long-term protection of my work over patterns that no longer serve my future.
